Concord Metal Detector is a unique metal detector from the German company Mega Detection, a new release in the company’s series of devices that meet the needs of amateur and professional prospectors through a set of devices that suits different categories.

Concord metal detector is a multi-search system device that includes five systems that mainly combine long-range locating and scanning technology (L.R.L) suitable for detecting metal targets from a distance and at great depths, with the new and improved Pulse induction technology through set of search coils suitable for detection of small-sized items such as old coins, natural gold nuggets and gold ornaments such as rings.

Concord device provides a comfortable and easy experience for the prospector thanks to the ease of installing the appropriate parts for the search system and thanks to the easy-to-use multi-language device program, which provides the user through a simplified graphical interface with all the necessary options to adjust the search settings and watch the different colored visual and digital indicators on the device screen, which provides the prospector with sufficient information to know the nature of the detected targets.

Multiple Search Tools

The search tools with distinctive design and advanced technology available in Concord provide the prospector the required tool to search for all kinds of minerals, buried metal targets and treasures of various sizes and at different depths. Concord includes the following search tools:

IMTU (Intelligent Multi Transceiver Unit)

This unit’s mission is to send high-frequency electromagnetic waves in the direction in which the user is searching. These signals intersect with the electromagnetic fields emitted by the underground metal targets and turn into reflected signals that are received through the antennas, and the signal after processing is converted into digital signals.

Search Coils (PS50, PS36, PS28)

The device includes 3 different-sized search coils that work with improved pulse induction technology with a search system that matches each coil. The coils provide outstanding performance in various detection applications in search of targets of different size and depth of gold, jewelry and ancient coins.

5 Search Systems

Concord device integrates five search systems, three L.R.L systems, and two systems related to the pulse induction technology based on search coil used. All search systems include options and settings to customize the search, as well as visual representations and digital indicators that give the user a rich experience during the search process. The device includes the following search systems:

1 – Manual Long Range System / MANUAL LRL

This search system uses the I.M.T.U PROBE, which sends high-frequency waveforms in the direction of the search, and the reflected signals are received through a pair of antennas. In this system the type or program of the target to be searched can be selected. This option means that the device does not receive any signal except for the target signal that has been identified with options to adjust the front distance up to 3000 meters and the depth up to 50 meters before starting the search. This system contains 11 separate search programs, which can be selected from the list of targets. The manual system means the possibility of adjusting the long-range scanning settings manually according to the user’s preferences, before actually conducting the search.

Here are the settings that can be adjusted:

• Target Type (Metal): The type of metal of the targets to be searched can be set from a list that includes search programs for all types of metals like: Gold, silver, copper, iron, diamonds, platinum, bronze.
• Front Scan Range (Distance): The distance that expresses the maximum range that the device scans can be set according to specific values within the range from 0 to 3000 meters (250, 500, 750, 1000, 1250, 1500, 1750, 2000, 2250, 2500, 2750, 3000 m).
• Maximum Search Depth (Depth): This value specifies the maximum depth to search within through the current search settings, and can be set in the 0 to 50 meters range.

After setting the previous options, the device searches within the selected field and depth. The search screen displays a compass-shaped indicator whose pointer points to the direction of the device, and displays within the same screen a semicircular indicator that expresses the direction of movement of the two antennas. Among the important features is the gradient tilt indicator on the right of the screen: green color indicates correct values and red color for wrong values of the inclination angle.

2 – Automatic Long-Range System / AUTO LRL

AUTO LRL search system uses the I.M.T.U to search for signals of potential within the long-range scanning field and the reflected signals are received through a pair of antennas. It is an advanced search system that covers large areas and has the ability to automatically identify all types of buried metals within a scanning area of up to 3000 meters and depths of up to 100 meters, and display the results in the form of values detected in the vicinity of the prospector.

The difference from the MANUAL LRL system is that in the automatic system, the device performs a fully automatic scanning in search of potential metal within the search scope. The user only has to choose the system from the list and the device will scan and update the data on the display screen automatically, including automatically leading the user towards the target location.

The user can choose to show the following options:

• Distance: Front range from 0 to 3000 meters.
• Target Depth: Maximum depth from 0 to 100 meters.
• Tracking Target (Direction): An indicator displayed as a semicircle with a pointer indicating the possible direction.
• Report: Displays bars for (Gold, Silver, Iron, Diamond) that light up based on probability of detection of particular target type.

3 – Control Long Range System [Custom Frequency] / CTRL LRL

This system provides an unprecedented feature in long-range metal detectors as the user can control the frequency of searching for different metals, allocating the frequency value to detect a specific type of metal, for example gold, copper or any other metal alloys.

The user can adjust a set of related settings before performing the search process:

• Soil Type: Rocky soil, sandy soil, clay soil, wet soil, etc.
• Search frequency: The value that represents the search frequency that the user can set manually, with values from preset values such as 250, 500, 750 to 5000 Hz.
• Distance: Scan distance from 0 to 3000 meters.
• Depth: From 0 to 50 meters.

4 – Pulse Induction System / PULSE INDUCTION

The pulse induction technology built into the device is specially developed with better performance features to detect all kinds of ferrous metals such as iron and non-ferrous metals such as gold, silver and copper to relatively greater depths. Thanks to the PS50 search coil (Double D search coil, diameter 50 cm), which is suitable for detecting different items such as coins and gold jewelry like bracelets and rings, and even relatively large metal objects at a depth of about 2-3 meters.

The captured signal is represented as a curved shape of changing colors on the device screen, and through the color indications and audio feedback, the user can discriminate the type of target detected.

In this system, the following options can be set:

• Ground balance: Provides ground balancing according to the terrain in the search area.
• Threshold: Controls the audio threshold of the received signals, values from 1 to 6.
• Gain: Controls the sound volume of received signals located at greater depths, values from 1 to 6.
• Sound: Adjusts the tone of the sound settings.

5 – Smart Detect System / SMART DETECT

Smart Detect system is an acoustic detection system via search coils (PS36 and PS28) with two detection modes corresponding to each coil, which provide high sensitivity to detect small metal targets such as small gold nuggets and coins at small depths.

Mode 1 – PS36

To use this mode, the PS36 search coil (oval-shaped coil with a diameter of 36 cm) is installed to detect metal targets. Settings include:

• Calibration: Perform coil calibration before starting the search.
• Detection Mode: All Metal (ferrous and non-ferrous metals), Non-Ferrous (gold, silver, copper only), Ferrous (iron only).
• Sound: Enable or mute the internal speaker.
• Digital Target ID Indicator: Circular digital graphic indicator displaying a number corresponding to a specific metal type.
• Acoustic Threshold: Controls audio threshold from 1 to 6.

Mode 2 – PS28

To use this mode, the PS28 search coil (28 cm diameter) is installed to detect smaller metals. Indicators include:

• Sensitivity: Left vertical indicator, 9 levels.
• Threshold: Right vertical indicator, 9 values.
• Graphical Signal Indicator: Displays Target ID number and FE/NONFE indicators based on metal type detected.

Display Search Results across Multiple Means

The device provides the user with an integrated system to display the results from the various search systems, providing adequate and comprehensive information to help control the search process and know the nature of what is buried.

High Resolution LCD Display

The main unit includes a high-definition LCD color screen with a large size that secures a better view when adjusting various search settings and provides a visual display of the results with useful information including search direction, metal type report, two-dimensional representation of the scan area, and digital visual representation in pulse induction systems.

Built-in speaker

All search systems provide audio feedback through audio tones that direct the user and give an idea of the search process progress or the nature of the targets.
